Southport Photobooth is a locally owned, family-friendly photobooth company serving St. James, Southport, Brunswick County, and southeastern North Carolina. We provide high-quality, easy-to-use photobooth experiences for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, reunions, church functions, holiday parties, and any celebration where people want to laugh, pose, and take home a memory.

Meet the founder — Bruce Benedict, Major, U.S. Army (Ret.)

Bruce Benedict is the founder and owner of Southport Photobooth, LLC. He brings decades of leadership, operational excellence, and service-minded professionalism to every event.

Bruce spent 39 years serving the Department of Defense — 21 years on active duty and 18 years in the federal government, defense contracting, and private sector. His career includes work as a Military Intelligence Officer, Counterintelligence Special Agent, Senior Project Manager, and Senior Program Manager. He has served overseas and stateside in locations such as Germany, Panama, Japan, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, and Afghanistan.

Bruce holds several professional certifications and leadership credentials:

 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Certified executive leadership coach.

  • Certified John Maxwell leadership coach, speaker, and trainer 


Bruce is a God-fearing Christian and owner/author of The Sunday School BibleTM, a project dedicated to making Scripture easier to read and understand through meticulous formatting and modernized presentation.
